A northwest based supermarket chain is seeking a Meat Supervisor to oversee total Meat Dept. operations for 19 locations. Qualified candidates will have 3 to 5 years experience Supervising multiple meat departments for low volume to medium volume operations. Duties will include, but are not limited to:a. Traveling to different locations in the region to insure operations are running smoothlyb. Training store Meat Managers and staff on proper merchandisingc. Insuring department conditions are up to company standardsd. Helping meat managers with any shrink or personnel problemse. Insuring adequate inventory levelsf. Monitoring and insuring personnel production levelsg. Communicating to the Meat Director and/or District Mgr. all personnel disciplineh. Partnering with the District Manager and Meat Director to insure department goals are being met i. Provide leadership and guidance for the assigned area of meat operations j. Must be thoroughly familiar with all products carried in the department, including being fully knowledgeable in the difference ( price, taste, preparation or use ) between the many varieties and types of meatk. Must be able perform Meat Manager responsibilities in absence of Meat Managerl.
