This is a Hotel Laundry Attendant position with a small company managed by a cohesive team of professional that is looking to increase our capability. This position earns a competitive wage of $15.75/hourly, depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOTEL LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Role Accountabilities & Expectations:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and brand goals.
• Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area.
• Maintain stock levels.
• Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Perform additional laundry services, as needed.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

• High school degree or GED preferred.
• Six (6) months hotel laundry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests.
• Ability to work day shifts, holidays, Monday through Friday, night shifts and weekends.
• Must pass and remain in compliance with drug free workplace policies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (as required by OSHA and ADA)

• Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking and reaching.
• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to make repeated and continued movements of the shoulders, elbows and hands (below waist and overhead movements).
• Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
• Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.
• Must be able to carry loads greater than 25 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 35 pounds of force frequently.
• Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
