****Job Description****

We have an immediate opportunity for a 1st Shift Packer/Painter to join our team in White City, Oregon.

****Job Responsibilities****

Perform a variety of duties to pack and prepare company products for shipment in accordance with packing and shipping specifications or instructions. Duties require care and accuracy in packaging to avoid damage to materials, insure safe transit, and to insure items are shipped for conformity to specification. Work will involve the use of company software, general computer skills, a power table saw, overhead hoist, measuring tape, hand and power hammers, nails and strapping tool. Daily use of forklift to move materials.

Position will also include responsibility for being our Primary Painter. We use standard lacquer-based paint along with many other customer-driven special paints. Responsible for preparing, painting and final assembly of a wide variety from small to medium bore cylinders. Involves mixing and spraying special and standard paints and final inspection of product--paint finish, order completeness, correct parts/accessories

The chosen candidate must be willing to be flexible throughout the entire Department (helping to cover absences/vacations). Perform other duties as required.

****Background & Skills****

**Experience Needed**

* High School diploma or equivalent

* One (1) or more years of shipping/material handling experience preferred

* Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

* This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee or Refugee

* Experience with painting of Industrial or Automotive spray application preferred

**Position Criteria**

* Be able to learn the external shipping company software and equipment

* Proven computer skills are required

* Capable in basic math and reading skills and to use rule and square

* Daily lift or move of heavy weight material in difficult work positions (up to 30 lbs. or attain assistance with heavier material
