JOB SUMMARY: Phoenix-Talent Schools is seeking a part-time Online Teacher (Grades 6-8) to support students enrolled in our online learning program. This position focuses primarily on managing the online learning platform and providing individualized case management for each student. While direct instruction is not required, the role includes one-on-one student support to help guide learning and ensure academic progress.
This is a half-time position, generally scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with some flexibility in hours depending on program needs. The majority of the work can be completed remotely; however, in-person attendance is required 2-3 times per week.
This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed, recognizing and addressing barriers to academic achievement.
JOB GOAL: The virtual teacher must be comfortable using technology and supporting new users of technology. Teachers will "virtually" integrate instructional tools and curriculum to engage and instruct while individualizing lesson plans and instruction to each student's needs. Teachers will be required to teach multiple grade levels and classes. They will be expected to use the telephone, the Internet, and various curriculum tools. The teacher will consult regularly with students to ensure that each child successfully achieves mastery of learning objectives.
