As a Senior Engineer, IT Deskside and Lab Support , you will provide hands-on IT support for both laboratory environments and general office settings. You will work closely with laboratory staff in the Ballerup (DK) GMP labs, business users, and global IT teams to ensure efficient IT operations, compliance, and adoption of best practices. The primary location for this role is the Valby Head office (DK) with an expected on-site presence in the QC Lab in Ballerup 1-2 days a week. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, compliance awareness, and strong problem-solving skills to support both laboratory and enterprise IT needs. The expected split of work (priority) is 70% Deskside vs 30% Lab focus. IT Lab Support Responsibilities (30%) Be a Single Point Of Contact/Liaison between the QC Lab to the rest of the IT organization. Provide hands-on technical support for laboratory software, and hardware, ensuring minimal disruption to lab operations, collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders. Configure, deploy, and maintain Computerized Lab Systems while ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure. Ensure compliance with GxP/GMP regulations and participate in Change Management and Configuration Management activities. Maintain the validated state of laboratory IT systems through proper documentation and record-keeping. Work closely with the global IT Lab group (USA, NL, DK, CN) to implement best practices, standardize processes, and ensure the adoption of new technologies. Participate in planning and executing IT projects related to laboratory systems, including system migrations and software upgrades. IT Deskside Support Responsibilities (70%) Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals, resolving hardware and software issues. Manage incident resolution, escalate major IT issues, and act as the first line of defense for IT stability. Assist with login, password resets, account provisioning, and IT asset setup/deactivation for employees and contractors. Troubleshoot and escalate network connectivity issues, including VPN and remote access support. Maintain and support AV equipment for meetings and events, including regulatory (FDA, EMA) and commercial functions. Document IT solutions, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure compliance with security policies and licensing agreements. Requirements Experience with working in a controlled environment, preferably a GxP environment. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Science, engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum 3 years of experience in IT engineering, with a focus on laboratory or technical environments with knowledge of network concepts (TCP/IP. DNS, DHCP and VPN). Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow) and remote support. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with global stakeholders at various levels. Familiarity with IT security standards, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements such as GLP and GDPR. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
