Description:

The General Manager will oversee all studio functions, including membership & retail sales, instructor performance, and evaluation. They will lead sales efforts, drive membership growth, and develop strategies to prevent member attrition to competitors. The General Manager will hire, train, and manage Sales Associates, utilizing discretion and independent judgment in directing all employees & personnel. Fitness experience or knowledge of Pilates is preferred but not required.

Club Pilates offers group reformer classes at various levels to accommodate everyone seeking to learn Pilates and enhance their fitness. We pioneered a 500-hour Teacher Training Program to thoroughly and safely teach group Pilates apparatus classes. Position Title: General Manager

Reports to: District Manager & Director of Sales

Earning Status: Base Salary + Monthly Bonus

Base Salary: $65,000-$70,000 annually, with lucrative monthly bonuses.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of retail/service or fitness sales experience
  • Confidence in generating personal sales and training Sales Associates
  • Ability to manage memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training revenue streams
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-changing, diverse environment
  • Good judgment in recognizing areas for improvement
  • Passion for fitness
  • Strong writing and grammar skills
  • Highly organized, proficient in data management, able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, neat
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Trustworthy with confidential information
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the public
  • Proficiency with computers and studio software

Responsibilities:

  • Execute lead generation via grassroots marketing and networking
  • Implement sales process to convert prospects into intro class attendees
  • Drive and increase membership sales
  • Manage studio retail inventory
  • Train and supervise Sales Associates
  • Hire/manage instructors
  • Proficiency in ClubReady for revenue and attendance reports
  • Review instructor evaluations and assist in mentorship/disciplinary actions
  • Make high-level customer service decisions
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and organization
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • Ensure all forms and supplies are stocked and visible
  • Participate in networking/community events and promotions
  • Manage marketing campaigns to generate leads
  • Perform other duties as assigned
