JOB DETAILS:

We are looking for CONTRACT mobile phlebotomists to collect samples through nasal swab or venipuncture from patients in their homes or workplaces. This role involves drawing samples for blood-based tests that harness genomics and proteomics to provide individualized insights about tumor biology. COVID-19 testing will be conducted for asymptomatic individuals or those who have recovered from the disease. We provide virtual training for all sample types and kits.

IMPORTANT: This is a contract position, with payment remitted within 30 days of invoice submission.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • All necessary kits and draw supplies (needles, tourniquet, tubes, etc.) will be provided.
  • Reliable transportation is a must, as samples will be collected at the patient's home or workplace.
  • Contractor must supply their own gloves, sharps container, and have access to appropriate disposal service.
  • Access to a smartphone, computer/laptop, and printer is required for receiving orders and printing documents.
  • Proper processes for the receipt and destruction of PHI must be established.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contact each patient within 24 hours of scheduling.
  • Efficiently schedule appointments within 1 to 3 days.
  • Maintain communication with the office regarding scheduling, patient concerns, or draw complications.
  • Collect specimens meticulously, following kit instructions to ensure accurate testing.
  • Pack and ship samples on the same day using FedEx materials provided by the company.
  • Invoice promptly for draws to facilitate payment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated excellent phlebotomy skills including venipuncture.
  • A minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in the last 3 years.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and issue reporting.
  • Ability to provide respectful and compassionate care, understanding patients' emotional and physical challenges.
  • Exceptional judgment and a commitment to following established procedures.
  • Organized approach to contacting and scheduling patients, along with effective communication with the office.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure all draws are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Technical skills to manage electronic communication including printing, scanning, and uploading documents.
