Position Summary
Responsible for the installation, startup, training, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. This role supports customer success through hands-on technical service and collaboration with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams. Technicians ensure optimal performance of equipment while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
**Assist with installation of equipment under guidance from senior technicians.
**Conduct startup procedures, ensuring proper calibration, sequencing/interlocking, and operation of electrical, control, and mechanical systems.
**Train customer personnel on equipment operation, troubleshooting, basic electrical/mechanical functions, and control systems.
**Create and submit detailed field service reports and documentation of daily activities.
**Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve equipment or process issues, including warranty claims and damage reports.
**Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders for accurate reporting and customer billing.
**Respond to emergency service requests on a 24/7 basis as needed.
Qualifications
**High school diploma or GED required; technical training or relevant certifications preferred.
**0-2 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
**Experience or familiarity with Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), concrete, or combustion equipment is a plus.
**Proficiency in reading mechanical, electrical, and electronic blueprints and schematics.
**Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems.
**Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
**Basic computer proficiency (Windows, Microsoft Office, Concur, IPS Control Systems).
**Welding (stick and MIG), torch cutting, steel fabrication, and general mechanical assembly skills preferred.
**Ability to work independently or in small teams in remote or high-demand environments.
**Must be able to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, on short notice.
**Able to maintain professional relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Work Environment
**Work may occur in manufacturing and outdoor job site environments.
**Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, high noise levels, varying temperatures, and occasional hazardous materials.
**Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
