Employer is looking to fill 88 Forestry Worker positions. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position from 10/1/2025 to 11/30/25. Requirements: Three (3) months of commercial brushsaw/chainsaw experience. At least 18 due to travel. Able, willing and qualified to perform work described and be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.

Employer notes: Begin/report to work in Phoenix, Jackson County, OR 97535 at $25.15/hr. Employer will transport workers daily between report to work address and additional worksites. Tentative itinerary: continue throughout various counties/areas within the states of: AR, AZ, CA, CO, ID, KY, MN, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OH, OR, SD, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI, WV & WY. Job duties: Walk substantially (up to 15 miles/day), also stoop, bend while carrying a pack (up to 50lbs) thru rough terrain (non-trail). Raising & transporting seedlings; sort tree seedlings, discarding substandard seedlings, according to standard charts or verbal instructions. Plant: seedlings/trees. Spray or inject vegetation with insecticides to kill insects or to protect against disease or with herbicides to reduce competing vegetation; enhance growth. Trim trees or other vegetation; cut trees or logs. Under the direction of fire suppression officers or forestry technicians: fight forest fires or perform prescribed burning tasks, fire protection, and suppression via clearing/disposing of brush, piling, and digging line/constructing fire breaks. Incidental driving possible & other related forestry worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-4011 (onetonline.org). Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 6AM-2:30PM. 40 (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime (OT). OT possible, but not required or guaranteed. If OT is worked, wage is paid at 1.5x regular rate of pay per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week. The worker will be offered a total number of work hours equal to at least 3/4's of the workdays of each 6-week period. Wage: $13.73/hr. up to possible $45.00/hr., OT $20.60/hr. up to possible $67.00/hr. Wage may vary based on experience and/or location worked. Will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Paid every two weeks. Employer provides tools, supplies & equipment without charge/deposit. Workers will follow all current laws/regulations/requirements/emergency temporary standards. Inbound/outbound transportation: payment/reimbursement will be equal to the most economical, reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at the rate required at the time of travel (currently $16.28 per day during travel/maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts). Transportation and subsistence will be reimbursed by check in 1st work week for cost from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer (in the U.S./abroad) to the place of employment. Worker will be reimbursed the in the 1st workweek for visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred, excluding passport. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer provides/pays for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation/subsistence back home/to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. All deductions required by law will be made by the employer as well as any further tax withholding/reasonable deductions authorized by the worker. Health/welfare benefits may apply. At employer's sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed); possible cash advances, if applicable/requested by worker, potential deduction from worker's paycheck. Employer complies with all applicable federal/state/local employment-related laws and regulations. Safe work boots required, employer will reimburse for one (1) pair of safe work boots per calendar year, employee may purchase boots employer will reimburse up to $350.00 from the date of purchase upon submission of a verifiable receipt. Optional shared housing available at no cost.
