Jackson County We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Facilities team for two days a week. This position provides hands-on experience in facilities operations and offers the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Maintenance/Custodian II

POSITION GOAL:
To maintain district buildings and grounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform general building maintenance as required.
2. Perform or supervise required custodial work.
3. Perform or supervise grounds maintenance.
4. Maintain operation of heating and air-conditioning systems.
5. Move classroom supplies and equipment among facilities as needed.
6. Repair tools and equipment.
7. Monitor asbestos control program.
8. Perform minor remodeling and carpentry repairs.
9. Perform job-related tasks as designated by the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with persons contacted in the course of work.
2. Knowledge of heating and air conditioning repair.
3. Skill in carpentry.
4. Ability to make plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
5. Knowledge of asbestos control and other hazardous chemicals.
6. Ability to supervise a custodian.
7. Ability to make decisions independently according to established policies and follow directions.
8. Ability to paint, lay flooring, and perform other needed maintenance.
9. Physical strength to perform eight hours of manual tasks.

LOCATION: In person at the Medford office. 101 N. Grape Street, Medford, OR 97501
LENGTH OF POSITION: 0.40 FTE / 258-day calendar (full-year annual position)
SALARY: Per the Classified Collective Bargaining Agreement: $17.45/hr - $20.88/hr starting wage for the 2025-2026 school year.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Chief Financial Officer
