The pay rate for this job is $25 - $25 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Flooring Helper:

  • Surface Preparation: Cleaning, preparing, and sometimes repairing subfloors or existing surfaces for new flooring
  • Material Handling: Loading, unloading, and transporting flooring materials and supplies to the job site and within the work area
  • Material Preparation: Measuring and cutting flooring materials, such as carpet, hardwood, vinyl, or tile
  • Assisting Installation: Helping experienced installers with the actual installation of the flooring
  • Tool Operation: Operating basic hand tools and power tools under guidance
  • Work Area Maintenance: Ensuring the job site is clean, safe, and well-organized, including performing clean-up at the end of the day
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with lead installers to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently

Job requirements:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform constant physical activity, including bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy materials
  • Basic Skills: Strong basic math skills, measurement skills, and precision
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with a variety of basic hand and power tools
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
  • Communication: Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with experienced installers
  • Learning Agility: A willingness to learn new skills and techniques from experienced professionals
