Job Summary

Kelley Connect is seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Accounting Manager to join our IT Services Division. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing various financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, agreement reconciliation, invoicing, cost of goods reconciliation, and procurement. This individual will also be responsible for developing and implementing processes and procedures to support the IT Accounting Department. Additionally, the IT Accounting Manager will lead and manage a team currently consisting of an Accounting Specialist and a Procurement Specialist.

Responsibilities

  1. Financial Oversight:
    • Manage day-to-day accounting functions for the IT Services Division, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to optimize cash flow and maintain positive vendor relationships.
    • Conduct regular reconciliation of agreements, invoices, and cost of goods to identify discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
  2. Invoicing and Billing:
    • Coordinate and supervise the invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing to clients
    • Collaborate with project managers and service delivery teams to validate billing information and resolve any discrepancies.
  3. Procurement Management:
    • Lead procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
    • Work closely with the Procurement Specialist to streamline procurement processes and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  4. Process and Procedure Development:
    • Develop and implement efficient financial processes and procedures that align with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
    • Continuously assess and improve internal controls to enhance the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  5. Team Management:
    • Supervise and mentor your team to ensure high performance and professional development.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to enhance the team's effectiveness.
    • Ensure the team has the knowledge and skills to succeed in their roles.
    • Be your team's main point of contact but also assist with escalation to the correct parties when applicable.
  6. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate financial reports and analyses for senior management, providing insights into the financial performance of the IT Services Division.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in the IT services industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and cost control.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing a team.


Working Conditions

Work is performed in a standard office environment. The physical environment if this job will include prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. There may be requirements to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 10lbs.
