Job Title: CNC Machinist - Swing Shift Job ID: 82877 Location: Central Point, Oregon Overview: Our client is seeking skilled and motivated Machinists to join their Swing Shift team. In this role, you will set up and operate a variety of conventional and CNC machines to manufacture and repair metallic and nonmetallic parts. This position requires applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to ensure high-quality, precision results that support their manufacturing operations. This position offers opportunities to grow across multiple machinist, depending on experience and demonstrated capabilities.

What you will be doing:

  • Read and follow production, engineering, and maintenance documents, including engineering drawings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications to determine part dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Use precision measuring equipment effectively.
  • Develop and document new setups as required.
  • Perform repairs on parts using manual machines and advanced equipment (Vertical Turret Lathes, Horizontal Boring Machines, etc.).
  • Perform 4- and 5-axis setups on a variety of machining equipment.
  • Proficiently operate all CNC machines with little to no supervision.
  • Fabricate and manufacture repair parts or basic tooling.
  • Demonstrate full competency in CNC and manual machining operations, including complex repairs on aviation parts.
  • Manufacture or fabricate precision parts or tooling as required.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists.

What you must have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.
  • 5+ years of machining and setup experience preferred.
  • Proficient in diverse manual machine setups.
  • Deep understanding of GD&T.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled at reading blueprints and machining complex parts.
  • Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
