Starting wage: $21.19-$29.15 per hour, depending on experience
Position Summary
The Imaging Scheduling Representative schedules and pre-registers patients for services as requested. This position is responsible for obtaining current demographic, insurance and other information required by third-party payers and works collaboratively with referrals, authorizations and financial screening teams to ensure all necessary pre-authorizations have been secured, nonemergent procedures have been financially cleared, and patients are apprised of their financial obligations before the date of service.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and assist all internal and external customers, promptly demonstrating professionalism, patience, compassion and consideration in interactions, consistently striving to know and meet or exceed the anticipated needs.
* Performs scheduling functions for assigned service lines and reschedules procedures as necessary; coordinates STAT scheduling directly with technologists and physicians.
* Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as a team while practicing the Asante values to build a highly effective team.
Position Qualifications
Experience
* Healthcare related insurance, scheduling, front desk or comparable experience is required.
Education
* *High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position is required
* Associate Degree in business or healthcare related field is preferred
Certification/Licensure
* CHAA: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) is preferred
