Starting Wage: $24.80-$34.11 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist 1 processes and distributes payroll and payroll information in a timely and accurate manner while meeting all Federal and State regulations as well as Asante policies.

As a Payroll Specialist for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

• Process Bi-Weekly payrolls to ensure the accurate and timely payment of wages to all Asante employees
• Provide payroll and productivity information to managers and other employees to enable them to perform their jobs more effectively
• Process termination, retro and correction check requests made between pay dates to ensure accurate and timely payments
• Attend department meetings, actively participate in discussions and offer suggestions to resolve problems and improve procedures
• Attend any available training to promote knowledge of pay practices and increase knowledge of software systems
• Deliver outstanding customer service to meet the needs of external and internal customers

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Associate degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clerical/administrative experience, including experience working with payroll, time and attendance, and scheduling systems is required
