Description:

Let's Be Friends!

At Ko-Kwel Casino Resort, there's nothing better than being around your friends, and that's exactly the atmosphere we want to create here. We want team members to feel like they're welcomed with the unique experiences and growth we can offer. Come be part of the special atmosphere and hospitality of the hotel, or the welcoming, fun and friendly character of the restaurants and casino. Join our team in its dedication to be the leading destination for gaming and hospitality on the beautiful, southern Oregon coast!
Why this job matters

Whether guests are teeing off at Bear Creek Golf Course or exploring the resort grounds, we want every outdoor space to feel cared for and inviting. As a Greenskeeper, you play a key role in creating that experience. From stunning fairways to well-kept walkways and landscaping throughout the property, your work helps our entire resort feel vibrant, welcoming, and ready for adventure.
What you bring to the table

  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Mow and maintain turf using hand and power equipment.
  • Trim grass and weeds around beds, paths, and course features.
  • Plant and transplant grass, trees, and other greenery to keep the course thriving.
  • Trim greens and cut fairways with precision that golfers will appreciate.
  • Water the course as directed to keep the grounds healthy.
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Help ensure restrooms stay fresh, stocked, and clean for guests.
  • Perform light maintenance on walkways, roadways, and golf-course buildings.
  • Complete basic upkeep on power equipment and tools.
  • Prioritize guest experience, safety, and professionalism in everything you do.
  • Report maintenance needs and material requests promptly.
  • Follow the work schedule provided by your supervisor.
  • Maintain properties' lawns, including a pristine boutique hotel property.
  • Uphold the landscaping design and ensure plant growth.
  • Assist with maintenance repairs to equipment, landscape structures, outdoor furniture and walkways.
  • Support maintenance needs across the entire property when needed-not just the course.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
Physical stuff to know

We've included the typical physical parts of the job here. If you need an accommodation to do the work, just let us know-we're here to support you.

You'll need to be available on weekends, holidays, and evenings, since that's when our guests are out enjoying the course. Frequent sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and walking. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move lighter items as needed. Regular exposure to outdoor conditions-sunshine, rain, heat, cold, and everything in between. Occasional exposure to machinery, chemicals, fumes, vibration, or elevated spaces. Moderate noise levels typical of outdoor maintenance. Ability to clearly hear normal conversation and maintain visual awareness (close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision). Occasionally sit. It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people. Just a heads-up-the casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke.

This is a quick summary of the main duties and requirements-it might not cover everything you could be asked to do.
