Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the food service program, ensuring high food quality standards and exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventory, food safety, and compliance with facility menus, regulations, and HCSG policies.
  • Lead and support the culinary team to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records related to food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff and perform duties as a dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate directives from management and collaborate with staff.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Implement infection control measures to ensure a sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Uphold punctuality and timely task completion.
  • Foster positive interactions with residents, staff, and visitors, representing HCSG with professionalism.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required, along with an Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
  • Preferred two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision.
  • Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
  • Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication skills with residents, administration, and HCSG leadership.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is mandatory.
  • Must be capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and sustaining physical activity for long periods.
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting are required.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
