As a Bartender, you're the heartbeat of the bar, serving up great drinks, smiles, and experiences that make guests want to return again and again. You'll help maintain a fun, clean, and welcoming atmosphere while ensuring responsible service and top-notch quality every time.

What you bring to the table

  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Provide friendly, courteous service to all guests, making sure every interaction feels personal and welcoming.
  • Verify all guests purchasing alcohol are 21 or older and ensure consumption stays in designated areas.
  • Prepare and serve all beverages accurately following recipes and established procedures.
  • Take and process guest orders promptly and correctly using the POS system.
  • Engage guests-learn names, remember favorites, and create lasting connections.
  • Deliver food and drinks quickly and with care; ensure presentation and quality are on point.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions responsibly and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar-restocking supplies, garnishes, and glassware as needed.
  • Assist in training new staff members when needed and share your knowledge to help the team succeed.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Keep the bar area safe, clean, and free of debris-clean spills, glass, and equipment promptly.
  • Support a positive and respectful work environment, using professional and courteous language at all times.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately and respond calmly in emergencies.
  • Perform opening, running, and closing duties to keep operations seamless.
  • Follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines and uphold company policies.
  • Jump in to assist barbacks and teammates when needed-teamwork makes it happen!
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

You'll need to be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings when we are busy. In this role, you'll I be required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally sit. It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people. Just a heads-up-the casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke.

Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus points
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years bartending experience in a high-volume setting, or equivalent combo of training and experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine-able to free-pour accurately and make a great drink every time.
  • OLCC permit and Food Handler's Card (must obtain before first shift).
  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
