Starting Wage: $22.57-$31.04 per hour, depending on experience

Please note: This is a remote position. Candidates will be required to have reliable broadband internet and personal cell phone service. Remote work may include online training and working during Pacific Standard business hours.

Position Summary

The Denials Recovery Specialist is responsible for managing insurance denial resolution processes, ensuring timely and accurate appeal submission, and preventing future denials through root cause analysis. This role coordinates technical and clinical appeal workflows, monitors payer responses, and supports compliance with regulatory and payer-specific requirements. The position serves as a key resource for denial management, collaborating with internal teams and payers to optimize revenue recovery and maintain audit readiness. Additionally, the specialist actively participates in Denials Governance workgroups to identify systemic issues and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Position Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or a related industry, including at least 1 year in denial management, is required
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position is required
  • An associate's degree in a healthcare discipline, computer science, or related field is preferred
