Senior Systems Analyst

Position Goal: Develop systems of support for servers, storage, data centers, cloud services, directory services, networks, other technology, and associated information services, to support teaching and learning.. The emphasis of this position is systems management, although duties may include network support, programming and database management.

Responsibility: Performs duties with limited supervision. Work involves significant project management, and coordination of human and technical resources, synthesis of operational systems, and evaluation and recommendation of work to be performed following agency policies and procedures to support the agency's mission. Work is characterized by the responsibility for the work of others, and by the ability to make independent decisions within established guidelines that align department goals with agency goals.

Essential Functions:
1. Perform all functions of System Analyst III.
2. Demonstrates initiative in forecasting and designing new services to meet changing regional needs.
3. Determine viability of new regional projects to meet changing regional needs.
4. Assist supervisor with designing and implementing regional projects, determining project prerequisites, overseeing milestone attainment, and coordinating resources.
5. Design, implement, and monitor regional service delivery to maximize availability, ensure integrity, and protect against intrusion.
6. Provide support for Systems Analyst III.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Prerequisites:
1. All requirements of System Analyst III.
2. Performance at level of Systems Analyst III for at least one year.
3. Demonstrated capabilities of Senior System Analyst.

The equivalent combination of experience, training, certification, education or degree that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be used as an alternative to prerequisites.

Length of Position: 1.0 FTE/258 days (annual year-round position)
Salary: $34.27/hr - $46.93/hrPer Classified Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Supervisor: Program Administrator
