JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Hybrid)
PAY RANGE: $58 - $68/hr.
DURATION: 6 months

TOP 3 SKILLS:

• 6 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience with strong exposure to general ledger, accounts payable, and month-end close processes
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, with the ability to apply accounting principles accurately
• dvanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, reconcile accounts, and prepare detailed financial reports

Job Description:
This person is responsible for activities related to accounts payable, general ledger, and month-end close. The successful candidate will be flexible, proactive, responsible, reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused with excellent communication skills. They must be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. This is a job for someone willing to take full ownership of their workload and interact with all levels of employees throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Manage accounts payable and implement process improvements
• Review employee expense accounting classifications
• ct as a backup for team members when needed for different accounting functions, such as fixed assets and leases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy in accruals
• Continuously assess and improve accounting systems and processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
• 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience
• Possess a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude, team player, and ability to quickly adapt to changes
• Excellent Excel skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Medium startup and/or public company accounting experience
• SAP, Ariba, Oracle
