Position Title: Sales MerchandiserLocation: Medford, OR (serving Medford, Grants Pass, and Ashland areas)Clearance Requirements: NonePosition Status: Contract to HirePay Rate: Up to $17.50/hr + $0.59 per mile mileage reimbursementPosition DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sales Merchandiser to support retail merchandising and product placement for beverage products across multiple store locations in the Medford, Grants Pass, and Ashland, Oregon region.In this role, you will ensure products are properly stocked, rotated, and displayed to maximize visibility and sales. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, is comfortable traveling between store locations, and takes pride in maintaining organized and attractive retail displays.This is an excellent entry-level opportunity in the retail merchandising and beverage distribution industry, offering hands-on experience with inventory management, store merchandising, and customer-facing retail operations.Shifts currently include weekend coverage with one weekday, with hours expected to increase starting mid-March. Typical shift schedules include 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, depending on store needs.Key Responsibilities* Travel to assigned retail locations within the Medford region to support merchandising activities* Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with beverage products and rotate inventory to maintain freshness* Build and maintain in-store displays and point-of-sale (POS) marketing materials using planograms or merchandising guidelines* Place pricing labels and promotional signage according to store layout and merchandising standards* Assist sales representatives with product stocking, merchandising, and display setup* Maintain organized and safe back-stock storage areas* Use hand trucks and pallet jacks to move beverage cases from stockrooms to sales floors* Partner with store managers and sales representatives to ensure optimal product placement* Submit daily merchandising activity reports and communicate competitive market observations* Provide professional customer service while representing the brand in retail environments* Service approximately 5-8 retail accounts per day depending on route assignmentsRequired Skills/Education* Must be 21 years of age or older* Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and auto insurance required* Ability to travel between multiple store locations daily (mileage reimbursed)* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching* High School Diploma or GED required* Strong organizational and time management skills* Ability to work independently and manage daily route assignments* Professional communication and customer service skills* Ability to follow merchandising guidelines, planograms, and written instructionsPreferred Qualifications* Retail merchandising, grocery, or stocking experience* Experience working with planograms, retail displays, or inventory rotation* Familiarity with handheld merchandising tools or reporting systems* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced retail environmentAbout Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
