A globally recognized General Contractor, headquartered in Chicago's West Loop, is seeking an Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team.

With 100+ years of history, this firm combines long-standing stability with a strong pipeline of complex, high-profile work - all based locally in Chicago, so no travel is required.

Their diverse portfolio spans industrial, commercial, residential, hospitality, civil infrastructure, and more, with project values up to $500M, offering exposure to large-scale and technically challenging builds.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates from conceptual through GMP stages
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope requirements
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids
• Develop budgets, value engineering options, and cost studies
• Collaborate with project management, field teams, and clients during preconstruction
• Support multiple projects across various sectors

What We're Looking For:

• 3–7+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor
• Experience estimating large-scale projects preferred
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Ability to manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and analytical skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Up to $130,000 base salary
• Performance bonus
• Car allowance

• Hybrid schedule - 2 days remote per week
• Half days on Fridays
• All projects local to Chicago - no travel required
