Job Title: Billing Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Billing Analyst to join our team. This role involves supporting the billing systems and processes while ensuring accurate and timely billing adjustments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting procedures and excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide input into the ongoing development and support of billing systems, processes, and policies.
- Reconcile orders for gas to match bills of lading and match invoice sets to stores.
- Reconcile amounts billed to stores with amounts paid by stores.
- Resolve and track billing issues as they arise, working with fuel and accounting support teams to address root cause problems.
- Process billing adjustments timely and accurately for fuel accounts, ensuring proper levels of authorization and documentation are in place.
- Conduct invoicing review and variance analysis with required sign-off.
Essential Skills - Proficiency in bank reconciliation, credit card transactions, and expense allocations.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Understanding of accounting procedures, concepts, and internal control processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment Join a vibrant billing team on the fuel side, consisting of around 12 members. The role involves a high level of communication with field managers, making excellent communication skills crucial. You will be part of a dynamic team where invoices are received through multiple channels, involving various teams in the processing.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
