Supervision: Material Manager

Summary of Position:

Under direction of the Material Department, responsible for preparing purchase orders (PO's) and purchasing all direct and indirect product to support the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

1. Obtain quotes for materials and supplies, verifying actual price to quoted price
2. Review the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system daily for customer requirements
3. Expedite orders already placed and follow thru to delivery
4. Maintain related paperwork files
5. Place requisition orders
6. Review customer flow down requirements
7. Coordinate with customer service and manufacturing staff
8. Resolve issues preventing material delivery
9. Resolve issues with materials placed in Materials Review Board (MRB) location
10. Write packing lists for shipping miscellaneous shipments
11. Perform special assignments and other duties as required.

Requirements:

1. Ensure department area is FOD free.
2. Understand, embrace and ensure compliance to ESAM's safety policies and procedures.
3. Creates department efficiencies and brings ideas to senior management.
4. Stay within budget guidelines
5. Stand or sit for eight (8) or more hours per day.

Qualifications:

1. Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
2. Able to read small print.
3. Have excellent manual dexterity.
4. Computer literate
5. Skilled in negotiation theory
6. Must be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20)

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
• OT is required, as needed. OT Hours: Mon-Thursday 2 hours immediately following shift, and Sat.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
