About the Role

Premier Community Supports is seeking a passionate and driven Employment Manager to lead and grow our Employment Services program. In this role, you'll oversee a dynamic team while helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities find meaningful, community-based employment. Essential Responsibilities:

Culture Champion

  • Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses to create job opportunities
  • Collaborate with families, case managers, and ISP teams to support success
  • Promote Premier Community Supports' mission, values, and culture across Employment Services and within the community
  • Model person centered practices and reinforce expectations for service delivery aligned with organizational standards
  • Maintain close relationships with community partners, including Vocational Rehabilitation and Case Management Entities
Supervision & Leadership
  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of Employment Specialists and Job Coaches from a centralized geographical standpoint across the state
  • Train, schedule, and assign staff while fostering a positive team culture
  • Step in to support staff and services as needed
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations (OARs) and internal standards
  • Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and performance management to support employee growth and accountability
  • Address performance concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the development of measurable employee goals
Recruiting & Training
  • Develop individualized employment strategies for the people we serve
  • Monitor job placements, retention, and overall satisfaction
  • Oversee onboarding, documentation, and billing accuracy
  • Stay current on local employment trends and opportunities
  • Partner with recruitment to support hiring efforts, including identifying staffing needs and participating in candidate selection
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members to ensure consistency in service delivery
  • Assist in developing training materials and tools that support team effectiveness
Operations & Compliance
  • Support compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations related to Employment Services
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of service models including job development, job coaching, and retention services
  • Assist in maintaining and improving operational processes, documentation standards, and service workflows
  • Identify gaps or risks in service delivery and provide recommendations for improvement
Program Development & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Employment Services processes, tools, and best practices
  • Assist in creating consistent and repeatable approaches across teams and locations
  • Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within Employment Services and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Support implementation of new initiatives, programs, or process changes
Communication & Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Maintain regular communication with internal Team Members and building Cross-Functional collaboration with local community office leaders
  • Provide input and insight to support decision making and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with County Managers, internal departments, and community partners to strengthen service coordination and outcomes
  • Seek feedback from internal and external partners and support resolution of concerns
Other Duties: Ability to perform and complete any additional tasks/projects as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in employment services and/or supporting individuals with I/DD
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to build relationships with community partners and employers
  • Comfortable with documentation, data tracking, and basic computer systems
  • A proactive, flexible, and solutions-focused mindset
  • Position requires occasional travel, up to 15-20% of the time
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (not required)
  • 2+ years in Employment Services (4+ preferred)
  • 2+ years supporting individuals with I/DD (4+ preferred)
  • ACRE certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation

Salary Description

$80,000-$90,000 (DOE)
