About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee its fiscal operations and support the development and direction of the budget. The CFO will work closely with the superintendent and other administrators to ensure that funds are properly budgeted and to create business models that promote effective and efficient program operations. This role also involves managing various program operations, including maintenance, facilities, and transportation and requires a sharp focus on supporting educational outcomes while maintaining cost-competitive and effective organizational and program operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in areas such as payroll, accounting, contract review, and procurement, and must have a strong background in financial management, decision-making, and communication.
Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a valid Oregon Administrator License (preferred), a Master's degree (preferred), an accounting degree, and at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a business office setting. Experience as a school district CFO or business manager is also preferred. The CFO must be proficient in accounting software, have a successful leadership background, and possess strong decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills. The role requires the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, manage various programs and budgets, and ensure compliance with federal and state finance laws. The CFO will also be expected to maintain a positive organizational culture, facilitate effective operations, and participate in professional growth activities.
