Ensures projects are planned, executed, and delivered in a timely and efficient manner with quality outcomes. Manages a variety of cross-functional, strategic projects. Involved in all aspects of planning, scoping, communication, change management, and quality management of assigned projects and their life cycles.
60% Leads project teams in the successful implementation of strategic projects. Partners with other teams to develop and maintain relationships by engaging stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives. Creates and updates Confluence, Jira, and Teams spaces where project documentation, task work, and communication is managed in accordance with the standards defined by the PMO. Responsible for all project communications including project status updates and stakeholder messaging. Manages projects tasks, resources, timelines, and benefit realization activities. Exercises discretion and independent judgement to make project related decisions and resolves project issues key to credit union strategic priorities. Assists in the contract negotiation process by facilitating communication.
25% Develops, models, and guides/mentors/coaches staff functioning as project participants- ensuring familiarity with our processes and how they as individuals engage with that process within their role on the project. Supports the work executed by project participants as necessary throughout the organization.
5% Contributes to Rogue's centralized view of resource allocation across projects by ensuring that resource estimates for assigned projects are accurate, working with project leadership and department management to make adjustments to resource requests as needed for the success of the project.
5% As instructed by the Manager of Project Management, assists in Facilitating Strategic Driver Steering Committees and the associated meetings and activities; Project Approval, and prioritization Process; Project Planning Process; Resource Planning Process; Scope/Requirements Management Process; and Status Reporting Process.
5% Proactively performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills: High general competency and the ability to learn new things quickly. Self-starter who is highly motivated and organized. Strong results orientation, with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Flexibility to handle directional changes with the ability to juggle moving priorities to ensure success. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves considerable discussion of problems and resolving issues impacting the credit union as it relates to the Project Management function. Ability to analyze and assess project complexities. Ability to identify and mitigate risks. Must possess a predisposition towards action. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiarity with project management and various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Methodologies is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Ability to drive a motor vehicle or arrange for own transportation.
Work Environment: This is an exempt position that requires flexibility in scheduling tasks and projects. Normal workdays with occasional remote work as approved by management. A dedicated workstation will be maintained in the office. The employee must independently monitor hours and judge the time needed to be spent on applicable duties as evening and weekend work may be necessary based on the requirements of a given project. Employee must be capable of adjusting to unpredictable schedules proactively. As a direct representative of the Credit Union, the employee must conduct and present themselves courteously and professionally. Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Travel to all Credit Union regions may be required.
