Aircraft Structure Mechanics Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $ 29.96 to $ 38.52 / hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 02:30pm)
  • Perform sheet metal structural repair, fabrication, and modification
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, fabricate, assemble, and install aircraft structures
  • Work to tight tolerances using pneumatic tools and precision measuring equipment
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, drawings, and engineering dispositions
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies, including Aircraft on Ground (AOG) scenarios
  • Complete accurate documentation, time tracking, and compliance records

Position Levels:

  • Mechanic II
    • 49 years of aircraft structures maintenance, repair, or fabrication experience
    • Performs full scope of structural duties with minimal oversight
    • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, SOPs, and quality documentation
  • Mechanic III
    • 10+ years of progressively responsible aircraft structures experience
    • Performs highly complex repairs and modifications; may oversee projects
    • Mentor junior mechanics and supports technical development
    • Airframe and/or Powerplant license required

Aircraft Structure Mechanics Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with drilling, riveting, countersinking, reaming, and jig/fixture use
  • Ability to develop repairs using Structural Repair Manuals and engineering data
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation manufacturing standards
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work around fumes, vibration, and moving equipment
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed
  • FCC license a plus
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
