From administering targeted treatments to collaborating with oncology professionals, your work will provide comfort and clinical expertise when it is needed most. Minimum Qualifications • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program. • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy. • Oregon state licensure or registration as required by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI). • BLS (AHA) certification. • Minimum 5 years experience in external beam radiation therapy patient treatment delivery, including experience with Varian TrueBeam and Elekta Infinity systems. • Experience using Mosaiq record-and-verify systems and computerized charting (EPIC noted for this site). • Experience performing CT scans in a radiation oncology setting. • Ability to work collaboratively with other therapists (two-therapist coverage on machines). Preferred Qualifications • Previous outpatient radiation oncology experience in a clinic setting. • Prior orientation or precepting experience for new therapists. Assignment Details Shift hours: 08:00–17:00. Workdays: Monday through Friday. Orientation: 12 hours; department orientation via shadowing with expectation that experienced therapists get up to speed within several days. Therapists will treat patients daily on Varian TrueBeam and Elekta Infinity treatment machines. Therapists will not float to other departments; dedicated to Radiation Oncology. Therapists will not work alone on treatment machines; two therapists per machine. Weekends are not required except for rare instances such as machine downtime requiring treatment. Impacting Patient Care As a Radiation Therapist in this outpatient clinic, you will operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, accurately position and immobilize patients, verify treatment plans and dosages with the oncology team, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and document treatments in the electronic record. Your role supports safe, effective delivery of external beam radiation therapy and contributes to multidisciplinary patient care.
