As a Field Service Technician (FST), you serve on the front line of delivering mission-critical food processing systems that help feed millions of people every day. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and sustain complex mechanical and electrical equipment in high-performance production environments where precision, uptime, safety, and discipline matter.

This role is well-suited for technicians with military training or experience who are comfortable operating independently, following standard work, solving problems under pressure, and representing their organization with professionalism and pride.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Operational Execution

? Provide on-site technical support to customer operations teams, troubleshooting and repairing equipment safely, efficiently, and Right First Time.

? Install new client full line solutions according to documented specifications, project scope, and timeline.

? Act as the primary technical authority on site, using defined escalation procedures when required.

? Ensure all equipment is operational, safe, and properly handed off before leaving the site.

Technical Problem Solving

? Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and operational system issues.

? Perform corrective and preventive maintenance to reduce repeat failures.

? Apply structured problem-solving and root cause thinking to prevent future issues.

Communication & Coordination

? Maintain regular communication with Service Managers, Technical Logistics, and internal support teams.

? Serve as the communication link between Weber and the customer during service events.

? Clearly explain equipment operation, safety requirements, and best practices to customer personnel.

Documentation & Accountability

? Complete accurate service documentation within 24 hours of job completion.

? Track time, actions taken, and outcomes to support operational continuity and traceability.

? Submit weekly expense reports accurately and in accordance with company policy.

Travel & Logistics

? Manage travel arrangements (air, hotel, rental car) responsibly and cost-effectively.

? Communicate arrival times and schedule changes proactively.

? Operate effectively in changing environments, including extended travel and non-standard work hours.

Skills & Capabilities That Lead to Success

? Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in industrial equipment.

? Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

? Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems under real-world conditions.

? Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

? Calm, professional performance in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.

? Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.

? Ability to read and follow technical manuals, safety procedures, and diagrams.

? Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and service documentation systems. (Salesforce a plus) Job 59128
