Collinwood is assisting our client, a fast-growing global manufacturer of highly engineered sensing, control, and sealing components, in their efforts to bolster their New Business Development team, specifically to expand their footprint in the Food & Beverage Equipment industry.

Our client delivers mission-critical protection and valuable data for a wide range of systems, including appliances, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration units, industrial process equipment, motor vehicles, aerospace, and more. Our client recently re-established as an independent company, and they are looking for entrepreneurial-minded people to help them grow.

We are seeking an innovative New Business Development Manager to support our client's growth strategy, expand their market presence, and understand how to create revenue by driving complex deals from the lead stage to contract execution. This role is ideal for a professional with a track record in scaling business operations in a team-based company. The incumbent will have a proven record of consistently meeting sales quotas.

What you will be doing:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies that align with company goals and revenue targets. Provide regularly scheduled updates on progress towards meeting targets.
  • Market Intelligence and Expansion: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, identify new market opportunities, emerging industry trends, and strategic partnerships to drive growth in key regions and verticals.
  • Partnership Management: Forge and manage relationships with key decision makers such as buyers, engineers, executives, and potential partners to drive brand growth and revenue.
  • Revenue Generation: Administer pipeline development, lead generation, and sales processes, ensuring effective strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on growth initiatives and market positioning.
  • Performance Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, including pipeline health and progress toward revenue.
What we need from you:
  • 5+ years of sales experience in a "hunter role" for a sensor and/or component manufacturing business selling "six-figure or greater" opportunities
  • Must have experience selling sensors and/or components for these industries
    • Food & Beverage Equipment (key vertical)
    • Pool & Spa Equipment
    • Industrial Automation
  • Record of consistently meeting and exceeding quotas
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Utilize Excel or CRM tools to record key metrics on opportunities and pipeline reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
