Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructional Assistant to join the team at Eagle Rock Elementary School. About the Role

The Instructional Assistant will assist licensed staff with instructional and supportive tasks, provide one-on-one and small group tutoring, and supervise students during class time, lunch, and recess. This position includes preparing instructional materials, maintaining records, grading assignments, and supporting the use of classroom technology. Instructional Assistant's are expected to contribute positively to staff meetings, demonstrate professional behavior, respect student confidentiality, and adapt to the changing needs of students and teachers. A strong commitment to ethical standards, district policies, and creating a safe, inclusive environment is essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, effective communication and interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and comfort with computers and technology. A flexible, proactive approach and a willingness to respond positively to supervision and feedback are key to success. Candidates should be enthusiastic about student learning and professional growth and maintain appropriate relationships with students, colleagues, and the school community. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, meet one of the required educational qualifications (such as postsecondary coursework, an associate's degree, or passing district assessments). Prior experience supporting students needs is preferred, but most importantly, we are looking for someone committed to fostering an environment where all students can thrive.
