We work for clients such as Charter/Spectrum Communications, Ziply, Wave Broadband, Wholesail, and others.Job DescriptionJavelin Utility Services Inc. is searching for an Aerial Foreman to join us in our Grants Pass, Oregon office. As an Aerial Foreman, you will demonstrate your expertise in the construction and repair of overhead plant or Coax/ Fiber lines. The Foreman will lead a field crew of aerial and/or underground field personnel to complete jobs as directed by their Construction Management team.Primary Duties:Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.Vehicle and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certifiedTowing various trailers with bucket trucksProvides support for crews during all phases of construction activityUnderstand how to read and construct from a design schematic of mapUnderstand all inventory and equipment required for these projectsCommission safety guidelinesUnderground work as needed and directed and as trainedLead teams in the field effectively and efficiently as needed and directed by supervisorCertified on the use of equipment:Line truckBucket truckCable Reel equipmentSaws and drillsFamiliar with NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelinesProvide administrative support including submitting and updating paperwork and tracking job activityRequired Qualifications:Must have 2 years of related construction experience as a linemanKnowledge of splicing a plus!A valid, unrestricted driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred but not required)Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniquesKnowledge of NESC and G095Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet and to perform installation, relocation, and maintenance of aerial plantsAble to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)Ability to set up & maintain safe work areasBe able to read and understand schematics and construction printsManage troubleshooting problems as they arise in the fieldBe able to Load and unload materials and equipmentManage all tools and equipmentComplete occasional underground activities, such as proof and place cable/fiber in conduitMust have excellent communication skillsSafety focused – setting up and maintaining safe work environmentsAbility to work in all weather conditionsMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentJob Requirements:Be able to lift and carry 70 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. as neededMust pass U/A Test (urinalysis)Javelin Utility Services Inc. is a DRUG FREE WORKPLACEMust be authorized to work in the U.S.Must have a clean driving record and a Valid Driver's License.Javelin Utility Services Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
