Umpqua Dairy Merchandiser

Wage Range: $20.91-$23.23

Schedule Day: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to Umpqua Dairy accounts by ordering, merchandising and rotating dairy products, filling retail dairy shelves and display cases, organizing Umpqua Dairy products in retail storage cooler and moving product from storage cooler to retail sales floor. In addition, the Merchandiser will be responsible for creating positive relationships with Umpqua Dairy retail customers and promoting Umpqua Dairy products.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive to and from various customers as assigned
  • Operate a Company vehicle while keeping an eye out for traffic, buildings, and pedestrians
  • Write milk orders for select grocery stores for the next day's delivery
  • Eliminate out-of-stocks and out-of-date products through effective order taking
  • Merchandise store shelving, coolers and displays with Umpqua Dairy products in accounts assigned by the Sales Rep
  • Maintain store shelves and storage cooler by rotating products, cleaning and facing shelves
  • Maintain customer relationships by visiting with Managers, Dairy Managers and Store Employees; answer their questions, respond to special requests, and always up sale Umpqua Dairy products
  • Complete the required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Working directly with Sales Rep and providing them with occasional clerical support that is asked of you to provide
  • Provide the customer with the most recent product order guides
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and tidy office
  • Changes printer cartridges in fax and computer printer
  • Organizes and maintains file system and files correspondence and other records
  • Be on time for your assigned schedule that will be provided by your Sales Rep
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills, and able to follow directions
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • 10-Key by touch
  • Multi-line telephone
  • Effectively and professionally interconnect with all levels and departments of the Company, its customers and vendors to achieve goals.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented, be able to set priorities and take the initiative to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on-time
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task
  • Must be dependable and responsible
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule, including some holidays
  • Prefer 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.

Education:

Required High School or better.
