We are seeking an Office Manager (Office Manager 2) to join our Grants Pass Child Welfare office.
*Note: this position will receive a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) increase of 6.55% which is not reflected in the salary listed in this posting. The effective date of the increase is January 1, 2025, for February 1, 2025, paychecks.
Summary of Duties
As an Office Manager, you will:
- Act as a link between staff and Program/District Management.
- Help develop and review proposals to enhance District and Department performance.
- Explain program policies and procedures to staff.
- Interpret regulations and policies for provider and client cases.
- Support budget development and planning with Program and District Managers.
- Supervise support staff, including Office Specialists and Administrative Specialists, and manage lead workers when possible.
- Review service quality through reports and data and share feedback with management and staff.
- Handle program needs by assigning tasks, adjusting schedules, and ensuring proper staffing.
- Oversee recruitment and hiring processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- One year of experience as a supervisor of clerical, secretarial, or office support staff that includes hiring or recommending hiring, training, assigning and reviewing work, preparing performance evaluations, and handling disciplinary actions.

- Experience in adapting your communication style to the intended audience, listen intently, and speaking with empathy.
- Demonstrated experience with commitment to conducting work through an antiracist and equity lens.

Working Conditions
- Work Locations: Offices, homes of participants, and community sites.
- Travel: Occasional travel for meetings, trainings, and other case related activities. This includes required occasional overnight travel.
- Hours: Occasional, non-traditional hours may be required, including evening and weekend work.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting children with car seats.
- This role involves handling sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, and crises, requiring a trauma-informed approach that is essential to ensure a safe environment.
- You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.
- Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.
