CNC Milling Machine Operator/Programmer

  • Working from blueprints, process sheets, sketches, and engineering specifications, determines assignment plan, layout, sequence of operations, number of cuts, and necessary tool adjustments required for a variety of major conventional or automatic machines.
  • Uses a variety of machinists’ hand tools and precision measuring instruments to lay out stock for machining.
  • Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required.
  • Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances on blue prints.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sets up and operate machines, for the manufacturing Firearms parts to precise drawing specifications.
  • Performs minor maintenance activities as required by the preventative maintenance program.
  • Assembles and disassembles parts into fixtures for machining.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a minimum of 4 -6 years of related experience.
  • Requires general education, vocational training, and CAD classes a plus.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the fundamentals of machining including: shop math, drawings, measuring instruments, machine functions and controls.
  • CNC Machining, using CNC Milling machines.
  • Must be able to successfully operate a 3 axis CNC machine with Fanuc controls and be able to effectively operate a 5 axis machine after 9 months to a year.
  • Requires protective safety apparel when on the manufacturing floor
  • Willing and able to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines and complete special projects
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines for completion of projects
  • Master Cam, Solid Works and other types of Cad Programs a plus.

$12.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience

SHIFTS 1st, 2nd shift availability (will train on days for the first few weeks – 6:00 am – 2:30 pm)
